The XXI Commonwealth Games will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in April 2018. It will be the fifth time Australia has hosted the Commonwealth Games. There are 70 participating nations scheduled to compete at 2018 Commonwealth Games. The mascot of the Games is Borobi, a blue koala, with indigenous markings on its body. To commemorate the event the Royal Australian Mint has issued a spectacular one dollar coin which is scheduled to start shipping in mid-September.
